ICONS AND SAINTS

Icons and Saints is a collection of collages arranged around a central religious or iconic figure.

Carefully chosen images borrowed from saved postcards, travel mementos, or holiday card reproductions are embellished with handmade and decorative papers, ink drawings, acrylic paint or paper ephemera such as Dresden cupids and die-cut paper reliefs from Germany or vintage cigarette paper flowers, bird cards, and postage stamps.

The care, detail, and concentration that went into each of the collages illustrates the inherent qualities of each icon. This collection pays homage to each saint and icon as well as offering a perfect way for prayer and meditation.
